Scrap metal company fined after worker loses four fingers
A scrap metal company has been fined for safety breaches after a worker lost parts of four fingers while operating poorly maintained machinery.
On 30 November 2018, a worker working under Hertfordshire construction company, MH Costa construction limited, alongside others, was working on an extension flat roof of a 6-storey building.
Logistics company Eddie Stobart has been fined after workers’ asbestos exposure. The health and safety executive (HSE) found that the company did not do an asbestos survey, and the workers did not receive any training concerning asbestos.
On December 2019, a worker working with G Nicholson (Engineers) Limited was replacing guttering at the top of the canopy’s petrol station in blue house lane, Washington, Tyne and wear.
