The safety department has many variations; the acronyms EHS, HSE, HSEQ, HSQE, and HSSE represent those variations.
For the letters H, S, E, S, and Q mean;
H- Health
S-Safety
E-environmental
S-security
Q-quality
The various acronyms HSE, HSSE, EHS, HSQE, and HSEQ and their meaning are represented below.
HSE– HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT
EHS– ENVIRONMENT HEALTH AND SAFETY
HSQE– HEALTH SAFETY QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT

HSE and EHS are the same; it’s just the arrangement of the letters that shows the difference. For the HSE and HSSE, the only difference we had was in the letter S, which means security. The only difference between the HSE, HSEQ, and HSQE is in the letter Q, which symbolizes Quality.
Do the Safety acronyms HSE EHS HSEQ HSSE HSQE matter much?
However, the acronyms do not really matter much as long as you have a robust safety management system in place at your workplace that ensures that your activities do not harm anyone or damage the organization’s assets.
