Role and Responsibilities for the health, safety & environmental officer Job
- Compile safety programs, Promote safety initiatives and Practice safe working techniques.
- Implement and maintain health and safety standards.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations.
- Identify hazardous waste in the environment and dispose of it accordingly.
- Regularly inspect equipment.
- Inspect workplace environments to verify compliance with federal laws, regulations and requirements.
- Suspend activities or use dangerous materials until alternative solutions have been developed, tested and implemented.
- Run audits on ventilation, noise protection, and lighting to ensure that all are functioning and working efficiently to create optimal employee safety.
- Investigate accidents to identify root causes, eliminate existing dangers and develop solutions to reduce the risk of other accidents.
- Maintain a database of hazardous present materials to guarantee safe handling during use and disposal.
- Develop emergency preparedness plans for workers and create employee resources to direct workers in potentially dangerous situations.

Job Requirements for the safety, health and environmental Job.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent.
- Valid competency certificates.
- Registration as a Health and Safety Officer.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
